The Prop kit was designed for use on an OEM Steel Hood. It has been
used by many, including myself on various aftermarket composite hoods,
with satisfactory results. Mounting to the hood is not a problem. The
included mounting hardware is strong enough for either type of hood.
The reason I only recommend the kit for steel hoods is that the tension of
the prop cylinders cause the hood to bow slightly when closed. Other
than myself, no one else has complained about this..
